MetaCritic - Entertainment Reviews
What began as a simple idea back in the summer of 1999--to both provide access to and summarize the vast amount of entertainment criticism available online--has evolved into one of the Web's best resources for critical information about film, video, music, games, books and television. In 2005, Metacritic joined the CNET family of websites after an acquisition by CNET Networks, Inc.
Metacritic.com achieves its stated mission--helping consumers make an informed decision about how to spend their money on entertainment--by providing access to thousands of reviews in a number of entertainment genres. We feel strongly that multiple opinions are better than one, and also that the presentation of these critical opinions must be done in a concise, organized and easy-to-understand manner in order for them to be useful. We also encourage our users to dig deeper on matters that interest them by providing links to full reviews whenever possible.

iTunes
iTunes is an amazing source of all sorts of audio and video through their Podcast feature. I regularly watch TV news programs downloaded from podcasts. There are also a huge number of audio programs including news. I don't look at TV for news any more, I just get it on iTunes--and there is less commercial interruption. A real advantage is that it is available on my computer any time, so I don't need to set my schedule by the TV.
iTunesU (iTunes University) has many famous universities providing free courses and noteworthy interviews. It is really amazing and available to anyone willing to explore. I like UCTV on iTunesU. I also download many podcasts daily, all automatically. I can look at the description of shows by right clicking on the podcast and delete what doesn't interest me.

Google Video
Google offers video clips on a huge variety of subjects. It is amazing what people upload to their video sites. Just enter a subject in the search field and see what you get. It is constantly changing. Of course there is a variety of opinion and you can't take anything there at face value, but it is fun and can be informative.
New Era of Internet Video
It is a new era of internet video. Most TV channels offer either full programs or teaser clips. Sometimes the source changes what is offered, but it is free. So explore and see what is available.
There is so much--what would you like to add? I look forward to your suggestions at SoleraGazette@gmail.com - Bill
