I regularly watch TV news programs downloaded from podcasts. There are also a huge number of audio programs including news. I don't look at TV for news any more, I just get it on iTunes--and there is less commercial interruption. A real advantage is that it is available on my computer any time, so I don't need to set my schedule by the TV.<br /><br />iTunesU (iTunes University) has many famous universities providing free courses and noteworthy interviews. It is really amazing and available to anyone willing to explore. I like UCTV on iTunesU. I also download many podcasts daily, all automatically. It is amazing what people upload to their video sites. Just enter a subject in the search field and see what you  get. It is constantly changing. Most TV channels offer either full programs or teaser clips. Sometimes the source changes what is offered, but it is free.
